Our philosophy:
Allied Agenda believes that good governance and an equitable society depend on the health of our public institutions, including a vibrant, inclusive and well-functioning nonprofit sector. We strive to help nonprofits reach their full potential, to do good work, and to treat their directors and staff as the professionals they are. We believe in fostering collaboration and building coalitions to maximize resources, promote sustainability, and allow organizations to play to their strengths, to do together what we could not accomplish alone. We value listening, connection, and creativity. We believe in forming meaningful partnerships with our clients to enthusiastically promote their agenda and increase their internal capacity—often functioning as an additional FTE. Moreover, we seek to be the bridge that helps our clients connect the larger public policy landscape with the grassroots efforts taking place on the ground, so our clients can further their mission and affect change at both a systemic level and as a practitioner. We incorporate these guiding principles in all aspects of our policy development, advocacy, and capacity-building work.
Foundational to this philosophy is an implicit understanding that “I am because we are”. Our principals believe that the power of the public sector lies in the individual strengths of the people doing the work on the ground. We aim to leverage those strengths, and work together to lift up our entire industry.
With our team’s expansive experience—in public policy, law, nonprofit capacity-building, lobbying, implementation, and development—we can tailor our services to meet the unique and evolving needs of your organization. We are building a movement—we have an agenda, and we are here to help you set yours!
